Making a Difference (M.A.D.)

The club is extremely proud to be associated with the M.A.D. section. This section caters to disadvantaged children and adults in the community who have mental health problems and conditions associated with autism. They meet twice a month and cater to two different age groups, providing disco-type entertainment and events throughout the year. A team of professionals supervises and cares for them during the evenings or daytime entertainment. Contact the club for more details if you have children who would benefit from and enjoy being involved in this section.

C.I.U. Affiliation

All major sporting events can be shown as the club subscribes to Sky Sports and TNT Sports. Some box office events are occasionally purchased for members’ enjoyment.

Marketing and Events Team

This team of committee members and club members meets once a month and is responsible for overseeing the clubā€™s entertainment program and organizing events inside and outside the club. The club organizes a regular coach trip to Goodwood during Goodwood week and has also run a trip to Brighton Greyhound Track. It is instrumental in supporting and driving various internal family day events, such as the Easter, Summer Party, Halloween Event, and Children’s Christmas Party. They also organize the senior citizens’ Christmas party and day trips to places of interest and other C.I.U. clubs. Members do not have to be on the committee to join this team or to help organize events.
